Our story

The Tongass Democrats is a volunteer organization of Democrats in Alaska’s House Districts 3 and 4/Senate District B. We raise money for Democratic candidates, promote Democratic ideals, and perform services for our communities.

TongassDemocrats.com is entirely written and managed by volunteers. This site does not accept sponsored posts or advertising. We do not provide affiliate links to products.

The purpose of TongassDemocrats.com is to build the Democratic coalition by providing timely and relevant information about politics, issues, and people to Democrats in northern Southeast Alaska. Our goal is to provide a space for both accurate information and the considered opinions of Democrats living in the region and around the state. We focus on topics that support Democratic values, the Alaska Democratic Party Plan and Platform, and the election of progressive candidates.
